ARTIST STATEMENT

I did this as a study of light and shadow. Being self taught I use experience as my teacher. While I do use mediums such as graphite and water colors, I prefer acrylic because it feels more permanent.

I wish that I could tell you that art is a vital part of some grand design for my purpose in life, but the truth is, it’s just a way to pass time. Sometimes I’m inspired to create art because it’s a visual expression of a thought or a feeling. But more times than not I see something I think is cool so I will try and paint something similar that fits my own style. My hope is that it will stir a thought or feeling in someone else.
